The client needed a structured cabling system that could support high-speed internet, VoIP phones, Wi-Fi across the whole site. A lease line would provide internet connectivity to the office block at the start of the premises. The main workshop building in the yard was 250m away, and we needed perimeter CCTV coverage.
Black Cat Data Cabling designed and installed a structured data cabling system using Cat6 cables for inside the buildings, set up a data cabinet, patch panels and switches, and ready for PCs, VoIP phones and CCTV cameras. We then ran ultra-light weight single mode OS4 fibre from the offices to the main workshop in the yard. We managed to use ex BT poles that were located along the fence line and then across the yard to the building. This gave them internet to the centre of the yard, from there we ran armoured fibre underground to cabins in each corner of the yard, and mounted CCTV cameras and external Wi-Fi antennas to cover the perimeter and throughout the yard storage area.
