A commercial storage yard in Sheerness approached us with a completely blank slate: the site had no internet access, no cabling and no network hardware in place. The client needed dependable connectivity to support their day‑to‑day operations and required a CCTV system capable of overseeing the yard for both security and safe vehicle movements. Because all equipment had to be installed outdoors, the network hardware—including the NVR—needed to be fitted inside a weather‑resistant enclosure, which meant mounting the NVR vertically rather than the standard horizontal position.
To bring the site online, we deployed a high‑performance 5G router combined with a suitable data SIM package, giving the yard a strong and reliable connection where no broadband services were available. We then built a tidy network setup inside an external enclosure designed for outdoor environments, carefully positioning the NVR vertically and arranging the equipment to ensure proper ventilation and long‑term stability.
Once the networking infrastructure was in place, we installed a full Hikvision CCTV system, selecting camera positions that gave clear oversight of entry points, work areas and vehicle routes throughout the yard. The system was configured for secure remote access, allowing the customer to monitor activity from any location with confidence.
The commercial yard now operates with a stable, high‑speed internet connection and a fully functional CCTV system that provides strong visual coverage across the entire site.
